They will bring color and interest to your shelves, being at the same time at your fingertips to help you prepare a tasty dish.
Subtlety is definitely not the goal for the beadboard application on this kitchen design. For one, the kitchen island has a natural Mahogany finish with wood top and wood legs, and only a little space for beadboard cabinets which was mostly placed to hide the plumbing of the sink. The open design of the kitchen island makes it feel less bulky while its wooden finish stands out among the white kitchen cabinets on the walls.
If you want a soft shade of green that has a little bit more warmth, but has a more neutral tone similar to sage green, consider using olive green on your kitchen cabinets. It has the just the right amount of coolness from the green, but has a bit more beige/yellow undertone, resulting in a soft yet warm ambiance. You don’t have to repaint all of your kitchen cabinets, you can just paint one section of kitchen cabinets with green to freshen up your kitchen look. In this example, this Neoclassic style kitchen repainted its walnut kitchen cabinets with green and white to lessen make the space look brighter and to tone down the rich patterns of the wood grains.
Solid hardwood floor in medium tone finish paired with the wooden dining table and the dark tone island counter top gives this kitchen a comfortable, warm and welcoming feel. Modern furniture, pendant lights over the kitchen island and crystal chandelier over the dining table gives elegance to this contemporary kitchen design. More functional components have been added by providing a working office area for doing homework, research or other paperwork.
