White Oak – White oak is another type of oak wood, but compared to its red countertop, this has a more subtle graining pattern and a more golden color. It is also stronger and more durable compared to red oak. This type of wood is typically quarter sawn when used for kitchen cabinetry. Its warm color makes it well suited for traditional kitchen styles, particularly Craftsman style kitchens. White oak is commonly offered only as a custom material option for kitchen cabinetry.
Pulls and Handles – Cabinet pulls or handles essentially have the same purpose as the knobs, but are larger in size and more elongated in form. These are attached to cabinets using double screws, but other designs may require more. The standard size for kitchen cabinet pulls is 4 inches long, but this may go higher. Longer or oversized cabinet pulls are commonly used in modern and contemporary kitchen styles.
