Seafoam green is also a nice color choice to paint your beadboard kitchen cabinets, as it has a refreshing vibe that is easy to mix and match with more contemporary elements. The green beadboard kitchen island in this room pairs beautifully with the white shaker style cabinets to produce a bright and inviting traditional design. Beadboard cabinets are easily identified by how it looks: vertical slats of wood pieced together on their long side resulting in a bead-like connection. These are made from long wood slats which usually have a tongue and groove joinery. This was originally used for wainscoting on traditional houses, but has also made its way into cabinetry & other aspects of the interiors.
This classic kitchen in the picture above features beautifully carved wood panel cabinets painted in cream. The large kitchen island even features beautifully engraved Corinthian columns at its corners and is topped by a Crema Marfil stone countertop and a large candle chandelier with rose ceiling detail. The French doors to the side bring in the beautiful winter scenery and the cool tones of the snow are warmed down by the cream-colored stone floor tiles and smaller cut cream stone mosaic tiles for the backsplash.
Kitchens are one of the spaces which are designed with longevity in mind. This is why kitchens are often finished in very safe and basic colors and durable materials. Usual colors found in the kitchen would be white, beige, grays and various natural shades of wood. Very few are actually bold enough to go defy the safety colors, but the few who does would be pleasantly surprised to find that there are colors you can use that would remain subtle and timeless in appeal, yet give your kitchen a more unique personality.
Vintage kitchen appliances already have busy detailing and attention-grabbing colors, so the beadboard kitchen cabinets were kept subtle and low-key, by using a plain white paint finish. Sometimes, even subtle contrasts is enough to create a kitchen design which has more depth and texture. Because the walls of the space/interiors already uses a white finish, the beadboard kitchen cabinets uses a different white undertone to give it a little more contrast against the flat white walls.
